THANK YOU TO THE FIRST UNION BAPTIST CHURCH FAMILY!
Thank you, First Union, for the wonderful Pastor and People 19th Anniversary expression of love celebrated the second Sunday in June. First Lady Cathy and I were overwhelmed at the sacrifice of your time, the generosity of your spirits, and the love in your hearts. It was so good to see all of you who could attend. It was so much fun. A special thank you to the members of the committee that worked so hard to pull it all together. I continue to pray that we will be back in the church building in the not too distant future.
We certainly miss the fellowship, the warm smiles, the holy hugs and kisses, and just being in the presence of God’s people. These last few months have been tough for most of us. We are experiencing multiple world changing events at the same time and it has impacted us greatly and they will continue to impact us for a time to come. Yes, we are indeed experiencing change. Change that will bring about what is now called a “new normal”. But through it all, the one constant in all of our lives is the Lord. Romans 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever.” That, my brothers and sisters is what should sustain us during these challenging times.
To think that you, First Union, took the time out with all that is going in your lives, to celebrate the 19thAnniversary of Pastor and People, is truly amazing. God bless you and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!
Love in His Name,
Pastor Frank Lomax, III and First Lady Cathy Lomax
